Submission Guidelines…
After receiving your initial email request, Jeff Z will contact you to discuss the possibility of creating a pen and ink portrait of your home. Once final approval is given, you will have to supply several high-quality images or files of your home. Photos to be used as reference should be sharp and show the home with clarity and detail.

How to photograph a house for
a pen and ink house portrait
Be sure the house is in focus…
* Ideally, the sun should be shining on the front of the house or if possible, take the pictures on an overcast day.
* If vegetation is obscuring the house, it will be minimized or eliminated from the final drawing.
* If the garage or outbuildings are attached, try not to have them in the foreground or be the focal point.
* Take a few pictures that show different angles of the entire house and outbuildings showing details and unique features,
(I use my discretion but please let me know of anything you would like left out or saved )
For a building or location
Be sure the photos are in focus…

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE AFTER FINAL APPROVALS...
* The original 15" x 20" inch house portrait drawn in pen & ink- unframed - on archival quality illustration board.
* After your house portrait is received by you, a digital image can be emailed, if requested, at no extra charge.
PRICING & SHIPPING INFORMATION FOR BLACK & WHITE PEN AND INK HOUSE PORTRAITS...
- 15" x 20" inches, unframed - $250 to $500 U.S. dollars - plus shipping and handling.
- Shipping & handling charges will vary by location and requested delivery time. Your completed drawing
will be mailed to you boxed and sandwiched between foam board & wrapped in a protective plastic envelope.
- A 50% deposit is required with your final order before any artwork can begin.
The remaining balance of 50% is due before final delivery of your house portrait.
- Final pricing and payment will be discussed after your approval of the pencil sketch.
The approved pencil sketch will be used as reference for the final pen and ink drawing of your home.
TURNAROUND INFORMATION...
- Turnaround time for house portraits is about 4-6 weeks from the starting day of your approved portrait.
- Delivery times may vary depending on the time of the year.
